Rachel Quinby joined Arkin Furrow Estate Law as an associate in 2026. Her practice focuses on estate litigation, where she brings strong advocacy skills and a thoughtful, client-centred approach to complex and sensitive disputes.
Rachel’s interest in estate law grew out of her earlier work coordinating a community home care program for older adults. In that role, she supported clients and families navigating issues involving incapacity, powers of attorney, and aging. Those experiences continue to shape her approach to serving clients with empathy and practicality.
Before joining Arkin Furrow Estate Law, Rachel articled at a boutique family law firm. She has assisted on matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, and in alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediations and arbitrations. Her family law experience strengthened her ability to navigate emotionally charged disputes while remaining focused on achieving pragmatic and effective outcomes for clients.
Rachel earned her law degree from the University of Ottawa, graduating magna cum laude. During law school, she served as Program Coordinator for Pro Bono Students Canada and volunteered as a Student Caseworker at the University of Ottawa Legal Clinic. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from McMaster University and a Certificate in Community Engagement from Toronto Metropolitan University.
Outside the office, Rachel enjoys backcountry camping, spending time at her family cottage in Algonquin Park, and trying new recipes.
